Welcome message

Welcome to PenPlusBytes online course on ICT Journalism for the period of three months (April 20th to July 20th 2010)

Online Classes

We shall post weekly lecture notes based on the class time-table plus relevant documents.

Participants are expected to contribute through questions, comments, contributions, suggestion etc after reading the lectures’ notes. Please remember that class postings constitute part of your final grading.

At the end of each week, a weekly summary of all postings shall be sent to the list (Summaries are expected to be done by class groups)


Weekly Class Assignments

Class assignments are expected to be submitted on due dates.

Submit your assignment before Sunday each week to mediaictrain@gmail.com

In the subject line indicate your name and the question for the weekly assignment

For example: online journalism – past present and future name: Alajidi Kufe

Subject: Alajidi kufe(online journalism – past present and future)


Project Work

At the end of the course, each participant is expected to submit a project work in any ICT Journalism area of choice. There will be a window of two months after lectures for submission- formally due in September 2010.

Special Guests

In addition to the course instructors, participants would have a unique opportunity to interact with special guests with expertise in ICT Journalism.

32 participants are expected to take part in this online course from the following countries Bangladesh, Ghana, Benin, Uganda , USA, Nigeria , Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Hong Kong (China), Italy , Peru , Zimbabwe, Ukraine , Botswana, Brazil, Malawi , Rwanda , Ethiopia, Cuba , Netherlands , Tanzania, India , Chile , Nepal , Sierra Leone and Kenya
